Excursion to the Ourika Valley

Close to Marrakesh, the Ourika Valley stretches about thirty miles winding through the foothills of the High Atlas where traditional houses, are rooted in the earth and mingle with the clay slopes. The road plunges along the Oued Ourika where water is abundant all year round. With their vegetable crops and orchards, long meadows shaded invite you to a relaxing moment. The road ends in the village of Setti Fatma, 1500 m altitude. It gathers in the pit village of the towering slopes of the Atlas.

ITINERARY
Departure is from Marrakech to 09:00 on a private vehicle or in a mini van. Stop at Tnine Ourika to visit the Berber Souk. On Monday, place of weekly gathering of the villagers from the surrounding area. (certain days of the week, Souk in other villages).
Continue to Setti Fatma - Taste the traditional lunch in a restaurant Berber on the banks of Wadi.
Walk for about 2 hours to the waterfalls.
Return to Marrakech in the afternoon.
Visit the gardens of Menara (on the days when there is no Souk).
