3 day trip from ouarzazate to Chegaga

3 Days : Ouarzazate - Draa Valley - Mhamid - Chegaga - Ouarzazate

Morning departure by a 4 wheel drive at Ouarzazate M'hamid, through the Draa Valley and its ‘a thousand and one thousand’ kasbah, skirting a grove of over 200 km. Next is a passage through the village of Zagora and that of Agdz. Thereafter, there is a stopover at Tamgrout, a visit to the Koranic library, an invitation to watch pottery making and a walk through the underground streets.
Proceed to the trail through the Ouled Brahim and Reg Elfaija grove. Continue to M'hamid, the last Draa palm grove and the beginning of the desert and get to the camp, close to the desert. Settlement is at Bivouac.

After breakfast, ride a camel for an hour and then start with a 4x4 track to the big sand dunes of Chegaga, the largest dunes in Morocco, lunch is under the shade of palm trees or Tamarisk post at twelve o'clock. Resume to the trail to Chegaga. Arrival at Bivouac. Admire the beautiful sunset. Dinner and overnight stay is in tents under the bright immaculate stars.

Departure to Ouarzazate via the track between the Erg Chegaga and the dry bed of Draa through Lake Iriqui, then Foum Zguid and continue by road via Taznakht. Photo stops will be made during the day between Taznakht and Ouarzazate.
