The valley of Roses

4 Days : Valleys of roses and Draa : Ouarzazate - Gorge Todra - Mhamid - Chegaga - Ouarzazate

After breakfast, departure to the Dades Gorge via the lake, the park and the kasbah of Ouarzazate, then continuation to track toward the west to reach the Bou-Thahrar village and join the kasbah of Ait Glaoui Youl-Dades Valley. After lunch, continue along the road that winds around the hills of the High Atlas to the exit of the Gorges of Todra. Dinner and overnight stay is at a hotel.

An early start is desirable for us to follow the longest section of tarmac this week, through Tazarine then N'Kob (small Berber village).Lunch is at Zagora, M'hamid. There is a stopover at Tamgroute to visit the Koranic library and to watch pottery making and a walk through the underground streets. Continue to the trail through the Ouled Brahim and Reg Elfaija grove and continuation to M'hamid for camping. Diner and overnight stay is in the tent.

After breakfast, ride a camel for an hour, then start with a 4x4 track to the big sandy dunes Chegaga. Lunch is at the shade of palm trees and Tamarisk trees. In the afternoon resume the trail to Chegaga. Check the Bivouac to watch the sunset, diner and overnight in tents or under the stars.

Departure to Ouarzazate via the track between the erg Chegaga and the dry bed of Draa through Lake Iriqui, then Foum Zguid and continue by road via Taznakht. Photo stops will be made during the day between Taznakht and Ouarzazate.
