Day 1 : Marrakech - Ouarzazate via Ait Ben Haddou

We depart for Ouarzazate via the Tiz‘n’Tichka pass. We continue to visit the Kasbah Telouet ancestral home of Pacha Glaoui. After lunch we continue on a trail through the Ksour and Kasbah of Anmiter to reach the valley Ounila.

From there we follow the track to join the kasbah Tamdakhte and that of Ait Ben Haddou where a tasty lunch will be served before we depart for Ouarzazate, where we will go directly to the hotel. Dinner and night spent in Ouarzazate.

Day 2 : Ouarzazate – Tinghir

After breakfast, we head for the Dades Gorge via the lake, park and kasbah of Ouarzazate. We then continue westward to reach the village of Bou Thahrar and vistit the kasbah of Ait‐Youl in the Glaoui Valley of Dades. We then proceed to the Dades Gorge.

From there we continue along the road that winds through the hills of the High Atlas to the Todra Gorge. Arrival and moving to your hotel. Dinner and the night is spent in Tinghir.

Day 3 : Tinghir – Tazarine - N’Kob – Zagora - M’hamid

An early start is desirable for us to follow the longest section of tarmac this week. We pass through Tazarine then N'Kob (small Berber village) before having lunch in Zagora. Along the M'hamid route we stop at Tamgroute to visit the Koranic library and watch and learn ure of pottery making in the underground streets.

From there we continue through the grove of Ouled Brahim and Reg Elfaija to M'hamid to get to camp. We have dinner in the evening and spend the night in tents.

Day 4 : M’hamid - Chegaga

After breakfast, we go for a one hour camel ride and then start the 4 wheel drive track to the big sand dunes of Chegaga. We enjoy a lunch in the shade of palm trees and Tamarisk. In the afternoon we resume the trail to Chegaga. We set up in our Bivouac before watching the sunset, enjoying the delicious dinner and then spending the night in tents or under the stars.

Day 5 : Chegaga - lac Iriqui - Foum Zguid - Taznakht - Marrakech

We depart for Marrakech via the track between the Erg Chegaga and the dry bed of Draa through Lake Iriqui, then Foum Zguid and continue by road via Taznakht. Photo stops will be made between Taznakht and Marrakech before arriving at the hotel.
