A tour to Chegaga
60 km Chegaga - M'hamid
One night in bivouac
Morning departure from M'hamid, the last village before the desert. Go for a 2 hour camel ride and then start with a 4 wheel track to the big Chegaga sand dunes which lie 60km from M'hamid and which are the largest sand dunes in Morocco.
Have lunch under the shade of the beautiful palm trees or Tamarisk, an afternoon recovery from the Chegaga walk.
Destination is at Bivouac Chegaga where you will watch the beautiful sunset. Dinner and overnight is in tents or under the beautiful immaculate stars. On the dawn of the next day have breakfast at the camp before leaving in a 4 wheel drive through the tracks and back to Mhamid.
The activities Include :
- Transport in 4 wheel drive. A driver and fuel will be provided
- Overnight camp in a nomad tent at Chegaga
- Lunch at the Sacred Oasis
- Dinner, breakfast in camp
- A camel to Mhamid
- A visit the old Ksar Mhamid
- Tea in the village
